Why local moves break more than they should
Because they are treated as easy. Short trip, so people pack less, stack worse and assume that it will hold because it is only around the corner. Most damage in a local move happens in the lift and on the stairs, not on the road.
We pack to export standard even when the destination is fifteen minutes away. Moving blankets on every item, edge protectors on anything carried upright, double-wall cartons for fragile pieces. It costs a little more time on loading day and it avoids the awkward conversation at unloading.
Apartment buildings and their rules
Almost every building in the city requires the service lift to be booked, and many only allow moves on set days and hours. We handle that with both building administrations, the one you leave and the one you arrive at, before a single box moves.
If the lift will not take long items or the corridor will not turn, that gets solved at the survey, not on moving day with the truck waiting downstairs.
Out to the interior
To Coclé, Chiriquí, Veraguas, Los Santos or Bocas the work is the same but the trip is not: long roads, dirt for the last stretch, and sometimes a house the large truck cannot reach. We plan for that at the survey and size the vehicle accordingly, not the other way round.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a move within the city take?
A two-bedroom apartment is usually done in a morning if packing was done the day before. If you pack and move on the same day, allow a full day.
Do you work weekends?
Yes, and it is often the practical choice because many buildings only authorise moves on Saturday mornings. Book ahead.
Can I pack myself and have you only load?
You can, and it costs less. The honest caveat is that insurance treats owner-packed boxes differently: if a box you sealed arrives damaged, there is no way to establish how it was packed inside.
